KATE J. HARDIMAN
Kate Hardiman is a well-rounded journalist and educational specialist. She has served as an editor, columnist, and reporter and her work has appeared in a half dozen publications, including The Hill, Washington Examiner, PoliticsPA, and others. She currently serves as a William H. Rehnquist Fellow at Cooper & Kirk PLLC in Washington, D.C. and is pursuing her law degree at Georgetown University Law Center.
Prior to coming to D.C., Hardiman served as a teaching fellow with the Alliance for Catholic Education. She was also an undergraduate research associate with the Pittsburgh non-profit A+ Schools and interned with the re-election campaign of Pennsylvania Governor Tom Corbett and Lt. Governor Jim Cawley in 2014.
Her academic interests include education policy, journalism, and French. She holds a Master of Arts in Education and completed her undergraduate studies in the Program of Liberal Studies (PLS) and the Philosophy, Political Science, and Economics (PPE) Program, all from the University of Notre Dame, where she was a Tocqueville Fellow as well as a Sorin Fellow at Notre Dame's Center for Ethics & Culture. A multi-talented individual, Kate also started for the Irish's club field hockey team and tutored student athletes in calculus during her time in South Bend.
In 2018, Hardiman was named by City & State PA as one of Pennsylvania's 25 most influential women in politics and public policy. That same year, the Washington Examiner named her to their "Red Alert Politics 30 Under 30" listing.
Her professional role models are Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas and the late Charles Krauthammer. Her other interests include running, watching college football (only Notre Dame games, however), cooking, reading, and traveling.
